Do the annoying symptoms of dry eyes interfere with your everyday life? If vision has become a painful experience, TearCare may be able to help restore comfort to your eyes. Dr. David Yesnick offers this revolutionary, in-office treatment at our Las Vegas eye care center. Want to experience lasting relief from dry eye syndrome? Book an eye exam at Yesnick Vision Center.

What is TearCare?

Using electrothermal devices, TearCare warms your eyelids to unblock clogs associated with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). Therapeutic levels of heat work to melt hardened oil deposits in your eyelid glands, allowing them to flow out.

Immediately after the thermal cycle is finished, our eye doctor will help to express your meibomian glands to ensure that all clogs are dissolved. Additionally, the procedure is “blink-assisted,” meaning that the devices conform to your eyelids so you can blink through the treatment. By blinking, your eye’s natural system of expressing lubricating oils is stimulated.

What results can you expect from TearCare?

Many of our dry eye patients in Las Vegas who undergo TearCare are pleasantly surprised to report how relaxing the treatment is! Repeat sessions are required about every 4 to 6 weeks, and just about everyone experiences unbelievable improvement in their dry eye symptoms. Also, when our eye doctor performs a follow-up eye exam, we generally see an enhanced quality tear film, linked to better eye health and more comfortable vision.

Is TearCare right for you?

Only an eye exam can provide a reliable answer to that question! If it’s determined that meibomian gland dysfunction is the source of your dry eyes, then TearCare may be the solution to alleviate your painful symptoms. To find out, visit us in our Las Vegas eye clinic.
