Dr. YESnick is trained and licensed to diagnose and treat diseases of the eye. We prescribe topical and oral medications for infections, inflammations, pain, dry eyes, glaucoma and allergies. We also work with top specialists and surgeons in the area to make referrals and co-manage when indicated.

A potentially devastating eye disease, if left unchecked. If your family has a history of this disease or you are of retirement age, have Dr. Yesnick evaluate your eye health and provide the very latest in treatment and management. The severity of this condition determines the recommended number of visits, but minimally one visit per year.
GLAUCOMA
Dr. Yesnick is the ONLY board certified Glaucoma optometrist in the ENTIRE Summerlin area. This disease tends to run in families and often shows NO symptoms. If a family member has been diagnosed, then contact The Yesnick Vision Center, as your whole family MUST be evaluated. If you are diagnosed with this disease then check-ups four times a year is recommended.
CATARACTS
Not a true eye disease, but a normal age change in your eye that reduces your vision. Annual check-up recommended.
DIABETIC RETINOPATHY
Last year, Dr. Yesnick made the initial diagnose on over 40 patients with diabetic eye problems, who did NOT even know they had the problem. EVERY diabetic should be checked at least once a year, especially if your blood sugar levels are questionable.
CHOLESTEROL
Elevated cholesterol can lead to a "stroke" in your eyes. Dr. Yesnick will evaluate your eye health for this condition. Annual check-up recommended.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
Last year, Dr. Yesnick made the initial diagnosis on dozens of patients that did NOT know they had this disease. The eyes often reveal if high blood pressure exists in the body. If you have already been diagnosed, then an annual eye evaluation will reveal the progression of this disease and its impact on your eye health. Twice a year visits are recommended if your blood pressure is unstable.
