Sandy achieved a Masters in Occupational Therapy degree after graduating
on the Dean's list from the prestigious Concordia University in
Wisconsin. She became board-certified by the National Occupational
Therapy Association, which means she has met and surpassed the highest
standards of her profession. She achieved board certification as a Low
Vision Specialist in 2008, making Sandy YESnick one of only 17
occupational therapists in the entire United States to attain the
highest level of vision therapy. In 2003, Sandy founded Low Vision
Services, the only comprehensive low vision service for partially
sighted patients in Nevada. This unique service preserves and restores
the visual independence of patients with poor vision due to eye disease,
trauma, birth defects and health conditions, like diabetes and
stroke-related vision loss. Over 90 referring eye doctors from seven
states refer their partially sighted patients to Sandy, plus patients
from around the world choose her service to retain their visual
independence. Sandy provides a unique vision- enhancing service that
